Cookie policy
Last updated: October, 4 2026
On Clean & Sober, you sometimes share personal things. We want you to know exactly what the website stores in your browser, and to stay in control of it.
In short
- No advertising cookies. The website does not track you on other websites and sells nothing.
- A few essential cookies, to keep you signed in and remember your choice.
- Optional audience measurement (Google Analytics), only if you accept it.
- You can change your mind at any time: manage my cookies.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file your browser saves when you visit a website. The website can read it again on your next visits, for example to know that you are signed in or to remember a setting.
Essential cookies
Without them, the website cannot work: you could not sign in or use your space. The law does not require your consent for them, but we list them all here.
| Cookie | What it is for | Duration |
|---|---|---|
______SID |
Keep your session open during your visit and protect the forms against fraudulent submissions. | Until the browser is closed |
REMEMBER |
Keep you signed in from one visit to the next. It is only set if you tick "Remember me". | 30 days |
cc |
Remember your cookie choice, so you are not asked again on every page. | 6 months |
Audience measurement (optional)
If you accept it, we use Google Analytics to know how many people visit the website and which pages are useful to them. This helps us improve Clean & Sober. These statistics are aggregated: they are not used to identify you or to show you advertising.
| Cookie | What it is for | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* |
Google Analytics: tell visitors apart and count visits. | 13 months at most |
Until you accept, Google Analytics is not loaded and none of these cookies is set. If you refuse or withdraw your consent, those already present are deleted.
Managing your choice
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept, refuse or customise. Refusing is as simple as accepting, and does not deprive you of any feature of the website.
To change your mind: manage my cookies.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge…). Note: if you block all cookies, you will no longer be able to sign in to your account.
